Aff1.com has never hidden that we are proud of our team. So we are pleased to introduce our affiliate manager, Valeria. It turned out to be a fascinating conversation about bad habits, the interests of publishers, and burnout.
Hey Lera! Let’s start from the beginning: how did you get into affiliate marketing and, in particular, Aff1?
I came into affiliate marketing quite by accident and unexpectedly. This may sound strange, given that the competition to get into this field without experience is really very high. My career started as a farmer on a small arbitrage team. In it, I grew up to a junior, then to a media buyer, and then to emotional burnout 🙂 After 9 months of work, I realized that I wanted something more. Plus, I like working with people more than with traffic. So I decided to look for a job as a recruiter. That’s how I came to Aff1.
And why did you choose Aff1?
I have been working at Aff1 for 2 years now. Came to the position of Junior Recruiter, engaged in the rental and onboarding of specialists to arbitration teams. Then I switched to internal media buying, participated in the development of the department and poured traffic to our products. And now I’m trying my hand at the position of Affiliate manager, and the company supported my desire.
That is, you worked in different teams and you can compare. Is Aff1 different in some way?
I have worked on two teams. In Aff1, I like the development of both the company itself and personal development. Everyone, from the owner to the junior employee, works together to make the company prosper and become better. It’s motivating!
Well, if traffic arbitrage did not exist, then in what area would you work?
It is difficult to answer this question, but definitely, I would work with people!
This is interesting) Then what are your hard and soft skills?
My hard skills are, of course, working with traffic (Facebook, NativeAds, PushAds), working with photo/video editors, and GPT chat (this is “professional” so to speak).
Regarding soft skills, I am a quick and willing learner, constantly improving myself and able to find new information to achieve my goals using different methods. I have diplomatic skills, I have a responsible attitude to work and I know how to manage time (I know how and love to do this).
When and how does your working day start?
I have a bad habit of picking up my phone as soon as I open my eyes. This helps me wake up faster and understand that I AM ALIVE (laughs). So, my working day starts around 8 a.m. with checking the situation in the work chat.
What do you like most about your work? What inspires you to continue developing in this particular profession?
Most of all, I like the result, which depends on me or on teamwork. I get high from the fact that I become better myself and help the company develop. Of course, I enjoy pleasant and helpful communication. Here it is necessary to talk about conferences. I love offline communication!
And a bonus question: what will you do first after the victory of Ukraine?
After our victory, I really want to take the Warsaw-Kyiv plane, land in Borispol, get to the station, and from there take the Kyiv-Simferopol train. And so be it! ❤️
Thanks for the great conversation! See you at work online and offline!
Speaking of online! Lera constantly posts arbitration memes on her Instagram. We can’t imagine where she takes so much (maybe she comes up with it herself), but we constantly come in for a good mood. We share a source of positive in a friendly way: https://www.instagram.com/valeria.boltivets/
And we are already preparing a new interview for you. If you have any questions — write it in the comments, and we will pass them on to the recipients!
